We try to be as fair and as upfront as possible when prospective tenants apply for a Keystar Management home. Many of the homes we post for rent have dozens of inquiries come in on them and the frenzy that ensues can cause an already anxious applicant both stress and disappointment. We like to make sure applicants understand how this process will work to avoid any unnecessary confusion.

We make every eort to ensure transparency and fairness in our application process for Keystar Management homes. Many of the properties we list for rent receive numerous inquiries, which can lead to a fast-paced and competitive environment. Our goal is to provide clear information to applicants, helping them understand the
process and preventing any undue stress or disappointment. "When an application is submitted for a home with low initial interest, the property manager may extend the application collection period by an additional 24-48 hours. If no further applications are received during this extended timeframe, we will proceed with processing the initially submitted application.

However, if another application is submitted within this 24-48 hour window, all applications will be considered together. We commit to providing all applicants with an update on their application within 72 hours of the specied cuto time. If an applicant is not selected, their application fee will be refunded. Conversely, for homes with high initial interest, we will provide all interested parties with an opportunity to submit their applications until the designated time and date, which will be communicated. Once this cuto time is reached, we will no longer accept additional applications and will only consider those received by the announced deadline.

Similar to the low-interest scenario, applicants will receive an update on their application within 72 hours of the specied cuto time, and if they are not selected, their application fee will be refunded. After an application has been processed, there is a freeze period during which no further applications will be reviewed or considered. This freeze period allows us to conduct background checks, contact references, and request any necessary additional documents or information. If your application is approved, we will extend a lease oer, and you will have 24-48 hours to review, ask questions, and sign the lease. If we do not receive your signed lease within this 24-48 hour timeframe, we reserve the right to void the lease and proceed with the next applicant

At Keystar Management, we’re passionate about pets and understand that they are an integral part of your family. That’s why, for 99% of our properties, we require a refundable pet deposit rather than imposing a one-time or monthly pet fee. The pet deposit for dogs ranges from $300 to $600 per dog, depending on factors such as the dog’s age, breed, and weight. For cats, the pet deposit ranges from $150 to $200 per cat, based on their age. Deposits for caged animals or sh will vary. Upon the conclusion of your lease, any damage will be deducted from your deposit, and the remaining amount will be refunded to you.

We understand that life can bring challenges, and credit scores may suer as a result. While we generally prefer to see a credit score of 600 or higher, we may still be able to work with you if your score is lower. However, in such cases, we may require a higher security deposit, potentially up to two times the monthly rent, and/or a cosigner with a credit score of 600 or higher. If your credit issues are due to unpaid medical bills, student loans, or a divorce, we are more likely to accommodate your situation. Unfortunately, if your low credit score is a result of collections from previous landlords or an eviction within the past 7 years, we may not be able to oer assistance.

While we understand that visiting properties in person can be challenging before your move-in date, we strongly recommend doing so whenever possible. While some of our properties may be available for sight-unseen rentals, others may not. Typically, newer homes or new construction properties are more suitable for sight-unseen rentals, whereas older homes with unique characteristics may not be. In cases where a property generates signicant interest and multiple applications, priority is often given to applicants who have physically seen the property. If feasible, consider making a trip to North Carolina before your move or enlist a friend, family member, or colleague to view properties on your behalf. It’s important to note that signing a lease for a property sight unseen obligates you to fulll the lease terms, even if the property doesn’t meet your expectations upon arrival.

We understand the frustration of facing competitive rental markets. Here are some tips to help improve your chances: Follow us on Facebook: We often post 'Coming Soon' and new listings on our Facebook page, giving you early access to property information. Pre-application: Fill out an application in advance to have your information on le. If you’re willing, you can also pay the application fee and request a background check to pre-qualify. Please note that the application fee is non-refundable, and this process does not guarantee priority. Be flexible: Be open to flexible showing times and try to align your schedule with property viewings. Properties can get rented quickly, so being available for showings can be advantageous. Flexible move-in dates: Consider adjusting your move-in date to align with property availability, which can make you a more attractive applicant.
Competitive market awareness: Remember that you’re one of many renters looking for housing, and the market can be competitive.

While you may lose out on a property or two, stay positive, as we’ll do our best to help you nd the right home for you. At Keystar Management, we’re here to assist you in nding your ideal rental property and making the process as smooth as possible."
